The Giants have re-signed LHP Chuck Lofgren, according to Baseball America’s minor-league free agent database. The 25-year-old lefty spent time in San Jose, Richmond, and Fresno this season, but was pretty underwhelming: 4.31 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, and a 1.30 K/BB in 79.1 innings. Lofgren made Baseball America’s top 100 prospect rankings back in 2007 and 2008.

Man, I don’t remember him as a Top 100 prospect at all. Strange.
He re-signed as a hitter. Don’t know what position though.
